ABOUT ME

Hi there. I'm the Founder of Madasa Media, Cy White (please just call me Cy).

I'm an editor, photographer, music journalist, movie reviewer, and published author. I've been writing professionally since 2007.

**

I've had the privilege of interviewing multiple brilliant musicians including Darryl "DMC" McDaniels, Rapsody, Deepflow, Crush, Epik High, Neon Bunny, and Jambinai.

My longest tenure has been as a copyeditor and featured writer for YAM Magazine. In my subsequent endeavors, I've had the opportunity to cover SXSW, and Korean festivals Zandari Festa and RapBeat Festival. I've covered concerts from artists like Janet Jackson, Dumbfoundead and DEAN.

In 2014 I was added to the SeoulBeats writing team, where I wrote for five years. The following year I helped launch Rock 'N Seoul, a website specializing in introducing the world at large to Korean indie music. Then in 2016 I became a writer and editor for MACG Magazine. In 2018, I became an official writer for HiphopKR, the #1 English source for Korean hip-hop and R&B.

Congruent to all this, I am a senior editor for Dreamspinner Press. I was also the Design Director, leading a small, dedicated team of interior book layout and eBook designers!
