Within the first few seconds of Zior Park: WHERE DOES SASQUATCH LIVE? Pt. 1, I was already in love.
I can’t rightly say what it is about Zior Park that’s transfixed me since his debut album, but he’s always been an artist I go to if I want some absolutely weird, wonderful and unhinged music from Korea. He truly never disappoints me. Well, that’s not entirely true. When he doesn’t release music, I am a little disappointed. But I’ve learned well over the years that you can’t, and certainly shouldn’t, rush brilliance.
SASQUATCH is a lovely album that dives deeper into Zior’s love of off-kilter pop that’s deceptively sweet. He’s a delight to rediscover, and that’s exactly what happens when you listen to a Zior Park album. You’re rediscovering him again through the various facets he unfolds with each release.
