Jojo will always be a force to be reckoned with. A next-level voice with range that consistently puts most of her peers to shame. However, as far as this project, there was something… lacking. Something that seemed to cut out the quintessential soul that defines who she is as an artist. She instead opts for basic lyricism with so-so inspired musical choices. Softer vocals indicative of the pop-R&B of those around her. Certainly she doesn’t have to melt the speakers to make a point. And there’s something to be said for relatable lyrics and music that seems to be the focal point. But none of these aspects of the album stood out enough to find anything to latch on to. Resulting in an album that, all things combined, is just okay.
