Now this! This is something the likes of which I haven’t heard since Jamiroquai’s penultimate release, “Dynamite.” Pure, unadulterated funk! Cory Henry has all the soul and hallelujah you’d expect, but adds a layer of Earth, Wind & Fire and Bootsy Collins to the mix that calls back to a time when music had compositional depth and a groove that had you lean to the side a little bit. Definitely something I think we’ve taken for granted the further we move away from the 1970s. I’m so glad Cory Henry gave us “Something to Say” to jog our memories.
