Ever enigmatic, Anna Wise's voice continues to become more earthen with each release. The music on Subtle Body Dawn is simpler, not as many layers. The music is still compositionally complex, but this is truly an album where music and voice are in perfect harmony to create an overall emphasis on artistry. No one aspect of the music overshadows the other. Beautiful, lush, yet serene and enticingly unique.
